  • I’m not a big fan of crossposting, but my question at wp.stackexchange hasn’t got any answer as of now, despite the active bounty.

I was about to open a new ticket in the bug tracker, but there I found the suggestion to use the support forum first, so here I am.

The problem is that I don’t understand how I should use Backbone.js to call a custom REST endpoint.
After the call to wp.api.loadPromise.done() and before the function I pass as argument gets executed, I get a JS TypeError in the JS console (Uncaught TypeError: _.includes is not a function at wp-api.min.js?ver=4.7.4:1).

You can find all the details here, and a sample plugin to reproduce the issue here.

Any clue? Should I open the bug report?
