• I am using Elementor and WordPress to create and edit pages.
When I am in Elementor (from Edit with Elementor on Dashboard) and I click on “Back to WordPress editor”across the top of the page, I get the message box saying “Please note to are switching to wordpress default editor. Your current layout, design and content might break.”
Is this just Elementors way of scaring me into using their plugin instead of WordPress or do the 2 really not play well together?
I’ve read some ‘warning’ horror stories on the forum about losing everything/something/design/content.
    Thanks

  • Yes, you are right.
I suggest you edit one page with one builder only. If you will switch to the different builder while editing the page, there are chances to lose the content or design or the formatting.

    Hi Arvind,
    Thanks for the answer.
I only recognised this issue when I started using YoastSEO.
When I open with Elementor, I can see all content but no YoastSEO.
But when I open with WP editor, I can see YoastSEO and what it wants me to change but no content to do it to…Catch 22!
Can you suggest a way to work around this problem?
    Thanks
    Chris

Moved to Fixing WordPress, this is not an Everything else WordPress topic.

If you have problem with that plugin then please use that plugin’s support forum.
