    I´m writing a comedy blog. http://coldnation.org/

I´m using a modified version of twenty ten and now I would like to change the background color of the content-box to a lightgrey (to lessen the burden on the wievers eyes). I´ve got the code for the color, it´s e6e6e6, but I don´t know how to make the change. I suppose that I´m supposed to write something in the css.stylesheet but... what do I write and where do I write it?

Don't edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

If you install Firefox Firebug then when you visit your website you can immediately see the css styling plus line numbers for that content-box

Esmi: Thanks for the useful tip and link! I´ve made certain modifications in the header.html of twenty ten, do I have to save the modified file in the child theme as well?

123milliseconds: Thank you,I will try that.

ANY changes made to twentyten will be lost. You cannot make a single change to twentyten.

Best bet is to restore header.php in twentyten back to original, and make a child theme with your changes
