Icons are great. However, the WordPress admin icons have been around for some time and they are poorly executed in the admin area to me. They are really… just there. If the UI was different then the admin icons could maximize their purpose and serve a better user experience, but until then I like the admin better without icons.
I know at least for me, that the use of the admin icons by WordPress default are poorly executed because I don’t make use to see them to recognize menu items. I just look for the text and the icons really play a distant background. They could server a much greater purpose.
I would like to see WordPress include this plugin as part of the core. A simple toggle of admin menu icons to display or not by the admin.
Install, activate, done.
Thanks for this plugin!
