    I will offer nice content through the web. I want people to register ot access this content. For the same person that want 2 or more content material I would like to avoid having several new leads for the same person.
    How I can make the questoinarie to check by email and if there is another lead with the same email, overwrite its information? Is this possible?

    Not with this plugin, no. The SF Web2Lead API is write only (no reading, no updating).


    You could set a cookie on the thanks page (via PHP or JS) that would allow you to detect if that person had filled out a form previously, but that would not move between browsers and wouldn’t survive them deleting cookies.

    Or you could use the SalesForce API to look for a lead/contact with that email, but that’s a pretty big undertaking.

    You could store the emails of users in an option or transient on your site and check that. It’d require some custom PHP code, but is easier than the SF api and more robust than the cookie.

    Salesforce was designed to allow multiple leads with the same email, etc.

    Once those leads are in Salesforce, you can use the Find Duplicates button.
