# Avoid wordpress to add breaks

 * I want to add a textarea with text inside.
    But wordpress adds “br” and <p> breaks
   that I don’t need… I want just text.
 * I tested it in html and this doesn’t happen, only on wordpress, I also check 
   the database entry and there are not there either.

 * a) try using the html mode editor only, and don’t switch between html and wysiwyg
   views prior to publishing or,
 * b) you could try [this plugin ](http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/disable-wpautop/)
