Avoid duplicated content alert with profile pages

    Hello,

    I’m using some tools to check SEO for my site, and in all of them I’m getting an alert of duplicated content for profile pages.

    Is there any way to make UM profile pages noindex and nofollow?

    I have tested with several SEO plugins and none of them allow me to hide profile pages from search engines.

    Hi @artgoddess,

    Have you tried to set nofollow attribute to the User page using SEO plugins like Yoast SEO?

    Thank you @ultimatemembersupport for yor support.

    I have Yoast SEO installed, I have already set nofollow and noindex to “Profile” page.

    But I am not capable to find any page that is called “User” or similar.

    Please, let me know.

    Hi @artgoddess,

    “User” is the default page that Ultimate member creates, please go to the Ultimate member -> Settings -> Setup and check what page is assigned as a User page.
    You can rename User page, however, the new page should be always assigned as a “User” page in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Setup.

    Here you have three screenshots. My User page is called “Tu perfil”. You can see that with Yoast the option is noindex, nofollow.

    Hi,

    You can try using a .htaccess or robots.txt file to tell the search engine regarding the no index of the user profile urls.
