Per David’s note on your other comment, we don’t have any plans to add a setting for this in the near future, but we will keep this in mind. Thanks for letting us know this is also an issue for you.
Author or Editor Capabilities for Board Members
Currently there isn’t a way to provide Author or Editor capabilities for Board Members outside of creating entirely separate users. While we don’t have a timetable to implement this functionality, this has come up a number of times as a need for our users and is a high priority for us to tackle in the future. If you want Board Members to have additional capabilities right now you should be able to use the Members plugin to add capabilities for each role.
Changing “Job Title” to “Board Title”
The purpose of the “Job Title” field is actually to share the board member’s full-time job outside of the nonprofit, not their title within the board. This helps provide the other board members with a good understanding of that person’s skillset and how they might be able to better serve the organization. The field is also connected throughout the plugin with the “Current Employer” field so it may be confusing to change it to “Board Title”.
