Avatar when comment

  • A lot of my friends who runs a wp-blog has an avatar that shows when they comment on each others sites.
Firstly, I don’t have an avatar when I comment on other blogs. Secondly, their avatars never show when they comment on mine. And thirdly, in their adminpart they can upload a picture that will be used as an avatar for this purpose, I can’t. :S Now I have a profile pic on my blog which was included (of course I changed the pic) in a theme that I installed, but it doesn’t work as an avatar when I comment…

I know that they haven’t done anything to the code, I’ve asked but they’re totally new to css and everything like that. I’ve tried to change the theme to the default but even so, I can’t get that upload box on my admin page…

    Anyone knows what’s wrong? Cheers.

  • either they are using gravatars or a similar plugin (most likely gravatars).

It’s widely used, it uses a globally recognized avatar which you upload to gravatar.com and siteswith a code imbeded in their comments use the avatar
