    Hi,

I have set everything up and all is working well except for the avatar images. I see them in the backend widget page but not on the front end. I assume maybe something is blocking this or is there something I can set to get this working?

    Hi Daniel,

Did you scroll down to the Google reviews? We run a product review and Google review system on the page.

    Hi @olstadesigns,

Yes, I scroll down and ‘Free Google Reviews Widget’ link leads to the service which is not this plugin.

    Thanks!

I also can not update the reviews for some reason. I have 2 new reviews and they are not showing. I have put my own API key in and also tried to refresh this manually.

So you are not richplugins then?

Sorry, did you read my previous answer? The reviews solution which is currently used on your website is not this plugin, just click by the copy right link of this solution ‘Free Google Reviews Widget’ and you will see that it’s not leads to our website or this plugin.

    Thanks!

Yes, right, this one ‘Rich Shortcodes for Google Reviews 6.7’ is this plugin, but it’s not showing on your website and we can’t see the issue (and investigate this). Just install reviews of this plugin and let us know.

    Thanks!

Can I ask if you are seeing the below. I will refresh all the caches in case you are seeing the old system we were using.

    Hi @olstadesigns,

Yes, after refresh the page, I see reviews of this plugin, sorry, it seems was a cache.

First of all, please try to disable the option Advance Options / Lazy load images in your reviews widget.

Also please check that if this website is using a Smush plugin to lazy load images, if so, please try to disable this and check. Smush is not correctly working with the images from that plugin.

In any case please let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!

Thank you yes it was in smush lazy load so I deactivated this webpage and everything is showing correctly.

Now the only other this is the reviews will not update for some reason. I have 1 new review and they is not showing. I have put my own API key in and also tried to refresh this manually.

    Hi @olstadesigns,

    Thank you for your response.

Please send debug information from the page Google Reviews / Settings / Advance and we will check the API key. Please use ‘Pastebin‘ service if you paste debug info here.

Also, you can remove the API key, because it seems the issue and update reviews manually every 3 days.

To update reviews manually, you need to edit your reviews widget (page Google Reviews / Widgets), click by connected Google place (right top corner under Connect Google button) and click Update reviews button.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    Hi @olstadesigns,

Unfortunately, I can’t see the debug information it shows:

Forbidden (#403) Error, this is a private paste or is pending moderation. If this paste belongs to you, please login to Pastebin to view it.

You also send the debug info to our support address: support [at] richplugins.com

    Thanks!

I have emailed this to you. Pastebin would not allow me to create the paste unless it was private due to the nature of the content.
