    Hey all,

I’ve been trying to get MY Gravatar working so that when I post on my blog my picture comes up. At the moment, only other authors get their gravatar showing up

One thing for sure, it is not automatic in WordPress.

    Thanks

I can see that my gravatar is showing up in this post. That’s the proof it is working.

Does the ID you use in your blog have the same email address as here?

    Hi There,

Where am I supposed to find that ID?

What ID/username do you use to log in to your blog?

    Your ID here is fireworkszone.

    I am using ‘admin’

Okay, so does ‘admin’ on your blog have the same email address as ‘fireworkszone’ has here?

    (@fireworkszone)

No they are different. How can I modify my username to fireworkszone?

Ipstenu is right, you need to use the same email address that you are using for your Gravatar. Go to your site’s admin dashboard –> Users, and update your profile email address to match the one you are using for your Gravatar account.

    Hi Buddha,

It works great. It is a hidden feature not easy to find without help. Thanks very much.

To fix the Gravatar problem, as buddha trance said, change your EMAIL for Admin to match the one you use here.

Alternately, you can go to gravatar and add in the email used there to your account. I have three addresses on one gravatar account and they all use the same gravatar. Works nicely.

As for changing the username of your admin on you own blog, you can’t, but you CAN change your Nickname , which will let you appear as whomever you want 🙂

I was too optimistic. Check that post where I made 2 comments and my avatar doesn’t show up.

It must be a piece of code I forgot.

I tried to leave a comment on that page to test if my own gravatar would display. It doesn’t. There must be something with the theme you are using.

Do you have another post where gravatars are being displayed with this theme?

Do you have Gravatars turned on for your blog?

I made it! You can see the result:
