• I wanted to use Autoptimize but when I try to activate this plugin, I get following error. After that I can’t do anything in Admin panel.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_setting() in /home/imagrcom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/classes/autoptimizeConfig.php on line 73

Also, normal pages do not load at all. I had to delete plugin files in order to get my blog back without this plugin.

Since I am using wp 2.6.1 , I can’t use latest version of plugin, I am using version 0.3 of the plugin which says that it supports wp 2.6.x .

Can your latest version work on wp 2.6.1 ?

hmm.. seems that you made plugin right from the begining for version wp 2.7 or above but mistakenly mentioned 2.6 or above. Though now plugin page shows 2.7 or above.

so I can’t use it until I upgrade to 2.7 or above and that is going to hell lot of work…

  • Yeah, I wrote 2.6 by mistake, sorry 🙁

I indeed have some 2.6 compatibility code, but it seems some other things are not working fine. If you could tell me all the places where it fails because of an old WP version, I will try to fix that.

Anyways, 2.6 is old (and maybe unsupported and unsecure, I don’t really know if the WP coders do security patches for it), you should upgrade to 2.7/2.8
