 * Hi,
 * Thank you for this terrific plugin, been using it for few months. However, I
   recently upgraded WordPress along with all plugins and not seeing desired results(
   mostly 100% bounce rate)
 * After several trial and error, I figured this was a conflict with [Autoptimize](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/)
   Version: 1.9.2
 * Although, I am still using autoptimize but with Disabled “Optimize JavaScript
   Code?”, and this greatly reduces the speed+performance.
    If I activate the “Javascript
   optimization” while excluding the “analyticsjs.js” under “Exclude scripts from
   Autoptimize:”, I have noticed the following code minifies as I am unable to add
   to the exclude list: <script type=”text/javascript”> var trackScrolling=true;
   var stLogInterval=10*1000; var cutOffTime=900; var trackNoEvents=false; var trackNoMaxTime
   =false; </script>
 * It would be great if I can exclude this code but there is no file name to add
   to the list, is there a possible workaround so I can exclude this from minifying.
 * Thank you in advance.

 * Just add “trackScrolling” to the comma-seperated exclude-list and all will be
   fine (excluding inline scripts is described [in the FAQ](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/faq/)
   actually) 🙂
 * have a great end-of-year!

 * Hi Frank,
 * Thank you for the quick response, I have just added “trackScrolling” to the exclusion
   and it worked.
 * Best wishes for the new year 🙂

 * Hi Frank,
 * I have re-opened this topic as I still see bounce errors with the “Optimize JavaScript
   Code?” activated.
 * I am monitoring the following 4 sites :
    First site is pending WordPress+plugin
   update, autoptimize works with “optimize javascript code”, and has low bounce
   rate.
 * 1. [http://goo.gl/Tp0TO2](http://goo.gl/Tp0TO2) (WordPress 4.0.1 , Autoptimize
   Version 1.9.1, Reduce Bounce Rate Version 3.1)
 * Below sites (2 and 3) are 95% near-similar to above except these have been updated
   to latest WP and plugins, has high bounce rate if java-script optimization is
   activated :
 * 2. [http://goo.gl/F9Xi9X](http://goo.gl/F9Xi9X) (WordPress 4.1, Autoptimize Version
   1.9.2, Reduce Bounce Rate Version 3.1)
 * 3. [http://goo.gl/KTWKOU](http://goo.gl/KTWKOU) (WordPress 4.1, Autoptimize Version
   1.9.2, Reduce Bounce Rate Version 3.1)
 * 4. [http://goo.gl/QZlcv9](http://goo.gl/QZlcv9) – pfshh (WordPress 4.1, Autoptimize
   Version 1.9.2, Reduce Bounce Rate Version 3.1)
 * While doing tests, I had disabled all caching plugins. I have noticed a drop
   in performance and page load time if I leave these .js scripts load individually.
   There has been no theme updates to either of the above sites.
 * Look forward to your advice. Thank you.

 * Can’t really comment on this, as I don’t really know anything about “reduce bounce
   rate” seodelight. I can tell you how you can exclude stuff, but not what you
   should or shouldn’t exclude.
 * Some generic remarks that may or may not help:
    * site (1) seems not to exclude
   any script from optimization. if reduce bounce rate works that way and you indeed
   have low bounce rates, that’s ideal (but I do see a JS error on the browser console,
   so clearly *something* is broken when on this config) * disabling caching plugins
   will significantly slow down autoptimize as well * excluding specific scripts
   from optimization will bring down performance, but sometimes that is needed to
   make things work
 * Hope this helps,
    frank

 * Thank you Frank, I shall soon update the site 1 to the latest version and most
   likely disable the javascript optimization as that returns high bounce rate,
   love your plugin hope the next WP upgrade works with the js optimization as it
   did for me before.
