    Hey Frank,

    Hope all is well.

I’m working on my wife’s site (the most demanding client) and trying to utilize Autoptimize. Been working through all the settings, but for some reason it keeps breaking the banner slider images on the home page. If I get the banner slider to work, it breaks the plugin that handles the sorting of the post type entires on the /speakers page. Any suggestions?

I’m certainly excluding .js here. I just can’t figure out the right settings to make sure that both the banner slider on the home page and the sorting plugin for the post type works.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I understand your pain; I have the same issue with my wife’s site 😉

It looks like you’re deferring jQuery (with AsyncJS) and that results in several “jQuery is not defined” errors on the browser console. Not deferring jQuery will very likely fix the problem 🙂

Ha ha. You know what I’m going through. She’s the most demanding client…ever. And types in ALL CAPS when something goes wrong…like this stuff, lol.

Okay, will try that. I’ll let you know if that fixes the issue.

    Yep, that did it!

Geez…I thought I tried all the options. So many checkboxes to click and test. I’m good now. Thanks for seeing that. Not sure how to utilize the browser console as I’m not a developer. I used Safari’s on that page and checked for errors but id didn’t show me any. I’ll have to be better at learning how to understand what’s happening a bit better.
