Hello. Someone one a forum once told me that Autoptimize doesnt work well along with Adsense. However, after using your plugin for a month on css, i couldnt see a single thing wrong with it. So i am starting to try Autoptimize for Javascript as well.

I am using the WP quads proplugin. To safeguard my adsense earnings, i have done the following.

    1) I have not aggregated inline JS lest it breaks things in the future.
    2) I have increased the number of EXCLUDED scripts from Autoptimize to the following

    adsbygoogle, ads.js, seal.js, js/jquery/jquery.js, plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded, wp-content/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/assets/js/ads.js

Please note – WP quads is located at plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded

All i need is, have i done things correctly 🙂 And will these avoid any possible harm to adsense earnings?

Is there anything else in Autoptimize i should be aware of before using it with Adsense? please note – i am a problogger and bread and butter depends on adsense earnings.

I have no experience with adsense or the WP quads proplugin, but assuming the plugin is in wp-content/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded then adding that to the JS exclusion should indeed work @marketing91

2-3 things you could (should) do:
    * load your site with another browser (or in a private window) to ensure ads are loading
    * in the same browser look at the console for javascript errors (warnings don’t matter much). if there are any try to see if they are adsense-related.
    * I guess the adsense dashboard has semi-live reports on ad performance, keep an eye on those to see if anything’s off.

    hope this helps,
    frank

@marketing91 I am also using the same plugin and Seeing huge Drop in income. Ads are not loading properly.

in JS as well as in CSS I have excluded the following

    plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded
    plugins/wp-quads-pro

But No success ….Still Ads are not loading properly.

You are suggesting to exclude the following

    adsbygoogle.js,
    ads.js,
    seal.js,
    js/jquery/jquery.js,
    plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded,
    wp-content/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/assets/js/ads.js

    Will this help

Is there anything to be excluded from CSS

Hii. Are you also optimizing HTML?

I never optimized HTML when using WP quads / quick adsense plugin. I used to optimize JS or CSS. But i never touched the html.

@marketing91 Thank you so much sir, for reverting to my query.

Followed the setting you had suggested…..Now Adsense Ads are loading Very Well

    Before Exclude,
    seal.js, js/jquery/jquery.js, plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded, plugins/wp-quads-pro

    Now Exclude,

    seal.js, js/jquery/jquery.js, adsbygoogle.js, ads.js, plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/assets/js/ads.js, plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded, plugins/wp-quads-pro

Yes, I optimize HTML? What is your suggestion?

    Thread Starter Hitesh Bhasin

    (@marketing91)

I did not optimize the HTML. I saw drop in earnings whenever optimizing HTML and when using WP Quads.

So i only optimized the JS and CSS. Ensure u have excluded all the plugins related to WP quads.

It seems Autoptimize does not do well with Adsense. CPC drop from — average 0.08 to 0.15 Dollar to mere 0.02 Dollar. I disable the Plugin still it was 0.02 Dollar. Then Restored my website from Backup now CPC is back to average 0.08 to 0.12 Dollar.

Excluding the only adsbygoogle.js does not help. I find many .js and .css files from difference domain load with my site. They are indeed owed by either Google or Double-click.

When a browser makes a call for a webpage, AdsbyGoogle.js creates a chain reaction within Google Ads system and collects ads from various domain instead of one to speed up ads delivery process.

Autoptimize takes optimization to a new level and is unquestionably the best Plugin to Optimize a Website but I don’t think it is fit for a website depends on Adsense income.

Although I can’t explain your observations, this

I disable the Plugin still it was 0.02 Dollar

proves it is not an AO problem; once AO is disabled it is … inactive, meaning it can’t interfere with anything any more.

When a browser makes a call for a webpage, AdsbyGoogle.js creates a chain reaction within Google Ads system and collects ads from various domain instead of one to speed up ads delivery process.

AO only works on the JS found in the HTML, not on JS loaded via other JS, so it does not interfere with that either I’m afraid.

Excluding the only adsbygoogle.js does not help.

adsbygoogle.js is hosted externally (by google), so AO doesn’t even try optimizing that file, it only optimizes local files.

I don’t think it is fit for a website depends on Adsense income.

Well, it seems to work for Marketing91, the solution might be in his comment about not optimizing HTML (although I don’t have an explanation for that either)?

Sir, Google Adsense has two Types of Ads: Link or Link + Image.

After I enabled Autoptimize — High Paying Ads — Link + Image or Graphics Stopped loading on my website. I could see only low paying Link Ads.

When I test my website without Autoptimize

    >sometimes I see suggestions like

    xyzads.css can be optimized
    nxyads.js can be optimized

However, when I had enabled Autoptimize, there was no suggestion for Optimizing any JS and CSS files.

I think I need your expert advice on setting up Autoptimize for my website. I have included this to my TO-DO list. Financially I am not sound now so I would consider approaching you later this year.

YES, It is possible – HTML optimization could be the reason.

    I use <!–noptimize–> adsense code <!–/noptimize–>

And adsense code remains intact in html optimization.

    Regards
