Autopost to Facebook on Edit no longer works

    Previously we were able to publish to facebook on edits but now everytime a new post is created they are publishing to facebook Problem with this we cannot check our posting prior to posting and when the post are made they are posting without images which is not very professional. No setting were changed until recently when I noticed the posting being posted upon creating. We use another plug for importing a post and when the post are created with that plug in auto post automatically post which is not what we want since the images are not appearing on post. If the pictures issue was fixed we may be able to deal with this but since it is not we would like to auto post on edit. Is there a way to fix both issues just incase we want to use both features? Seemed in the past we were only able to have the pictures appear while updating. This have been going for a few days and would like it fix so we dont need to manually post.

    There is no separate setting for auto publish on create.
    But there is separate setting for edit,
    Auto publish on editing posts/pages/custom post types under general settings.
    The settings for creation added to the next update and it will be released shortly.
    In the meantime you can use category filtering as a temporary solution,
    Select post categories for auto publish to Specific , and assign a category for auto publish, and add this category on edit action.
    If the image issue is persists, please check your SEO settings if social media tags are not added please set, Enforce og tags for Facebook and LinkedIn(under general settings) to Yes.
    and if that still did not pick the right thumbnail then, set Clear facebook cache before publishing to facebook(under Facebook settings) to Yes.

    Maybe addressing one thing at at time may help.

    I dont know why anyone won’t answer the question as to why the autopublish on edit is no longer working. Lets try this again. We were previous able to publish on facebook when checking boxes in wordpress which we bulk edit the posts.

    Now when we create those similar post they are auto publishing on Facebook without checking the edit options. This is not what we want. We want to only see the post when editing.

    *The post are being created with another import application not manual if that helps.

    Please set,
    Auto publish on editing posts/pages/custom post types to Disabled ,if you don’t want to auto post on edit.
    Bulk edit/quick edit will follow this.

    There is no settings to prevent auto posting on create post, if the Facebook account is authorized and publishing permission is enabled then the newly created(imported)posts will be published.
    You can use category filtering option as i already mentioned in the previous response to prevent imported posts from auto posting to Facebook.
