Support » Plugin: SoundCloud Shortcode » Autoplay Issue

  • Hey guys,

I’m hoping someone can point out what I’m doing wrong with my autoplay settings on Soundcloud. I have three audio tracks on a web page and I don’t want any of them to play when the page loads. Problem is, one of them ALWAYS plays no matter what I do with my code. Autoplay is set to false, so what am I doing wrong? Here’s the current code for all three audio files. They’re the same except obviously for the Soundcloud files:

    [soundcloud params=”auto_play=false&show_comments=false” url=”http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/107724319%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-x9MHD” width=” 100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

    [soundcloud params=”auto_play=false&show_comments=false” url=”http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/107724328%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-YY0Ud” width=” 100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

    [soundcloud params=”auto_play=false&show_comments=false” url=”http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/107724319%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-x9MHD” width=” 100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

    Thanks,

    James.

  • I just had yet another go at fixing this stupid code with this version:

    [soundcloud url=”http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/107724292%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-nVCSN” params=”color=ff6600&auto_play=false&show_artwork=true” width=” 100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

And yes it still auto plays. What is wrong with SoundCloud? It’s a piece of junk!

As I’m talking to myself, I’ll tell myself that I got it fixed by using the widget code and not the WordPress code provided by SoundCloud. Makes no sense but it’s fixed.

    Thanks for your help.

    You’re welcome.
