I’ve been using the Automattic Stats plugin without any problems for months. Recently, I upgraded to 2.6.5 — I don’t know if that’s related, but now, I can’t view my stats. I deactivated then reactivated the plugin, and it tells me:
WordPress.com Stats needs attention: please enter an API key or disable the plugin.
I did this, using the same API key I used before — tied to my WordPress.com with the same email address I use to admin my external blog (torley.com).
After entering my key, it gives me the option to “Add new blog to my account”, which doesn’t make sense, as this is the same key I’ve used without fail before. But I do, and that’s when it tells me:
Error from last API Key attempt:
Missing API Key
I keep trying this and it doesn’t change. How do I fix this? The error seems to be pretty rare, but it is frustrating being locked out of my stats. Thanks much in advance!
