Haven’t said much but I wanted to know your opinions on the following.
I’ve always wondered why you don’t implement an automatic theme or plugin upload feature onto wordpress. I wrote my own uploader. I would package it as a plugin but my method for unzipping the files probably won’t work on every server, rendering the project pointless. That’s my first thing. Next is the new plugins updater, that one’s great. I haven’t seen it working on themes yet, though.
What could be even better is an automatic update script for WP itself. Surely that’s even easier than a plugin! Having said that, it’s equally as bad a security risk, and that should be considered fully before any features are implemented on such a big framework.
So what do you guys think?
