Automatically update copyright year in footer?

    Hello, is there a way to have the copyright year added to a footer created with your plugin automatically update every year? There are a few plugins that do this by adding the shortcode [y] or something similar but I can’t get any of them to work with your footer builder. They work with other themes on sites hosted on the same server. Is there a plugin you are aware of that will do this? Or is there a built-in way with your plugin? If not, that would be a great addition in your next update. Thank you for your help!

    Never mind! After posting I found the FAQs and see you already have this in place with the [hfe_current_year] shortcode. Thanks!

    Spoke too soon – it’s not working. It works in the Elementor editor, I see the current year when I’m working on the footer, but then when I go to the site it’s not showing the year, just the [hfe_current_year] shortcode visible. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks. You can see it at https://new.bradsachs.com

    Didn’t get a response so I’m closing the ticket and using a different plugin.

    The shortcode is working fine on my dev site. Refer to this video, please.

    Could you please let us know the theme you are using? Just in case the Widget doesn’t work for you because of the theme.

    Hi and thanks for getting back to me. It’s the Elementor Hello theme which I assume would have no conflicts with your plugin. I tried disabling all the plugin as well, but the one that seems to be making it stop working is Elementor – it works fine with all other plugins activated but then stops when I activate Elementor. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi @jonasweb,

    It’s still working fine on my dev site, even with Hello theme. Please refer to this video.

    Your statement

    it works fine with all other plugins activated but then stops when I activate Elementor.

    This plugin will not work without Elementor plugin is activated. So, there’s no way the shortcode will work if you deactivate Elementor.

    I mentioned the plugins to rule out conflicts, but that’s not the case. What else could it be? Some server setting perhaps? Have you ever seen this before? Thanks for your help.
