[Resolved] Automatically transfer blog post to website

  • Hi

My friend has a blog which can be found here

She updates it sometimes but now that she has a blog on her custom built WordPress website, she wants it so that when she updates on her blog; it will update on her site here

I hope I have explained myself clear enough

    Thanks

    Paul

The two sites are completely separate, so her only option would be to pull an RSS feed from her wordpress.com site into her self-hosted site.

    Hi Esmi

Thanks for that. I know this may sound silly but is there a way to put the RSS directly on the blog page so it looks like the same format as on the new site already?

    Thanks

You could try looking for an RSS plugin that might handle this but there’s nothing in WordPress itself other than the native RSS widget.

One a slight tangent, is your friend aware that she will almost certainly get hit by Google’s duplicate content penalty if she deliberately publishes exactly the same content on two different sites?

Ah yes, I forgot about the duplicate content.

I will let her know her options

    Paul
