    Hey,

For some reason my wordpress install switches from http to https on some pages.
For instance: I can reach the admin pages, and the plugin section, but when I want to upgrade some plugins; the prtotcol goes https and I get an error. This is very logical, since I don;t have an https connection on my site.

Any idea what can be causing this and how to make sure that every link on the whole site only redirects to http pages?

    thnx!

  • Is this back-end or front-end, or both?

First up, I’d switch to the default theme (or a theme that has not been edited in any way, if you are editing the default theme).

If that fails, I’d deactivate all the plugings to make sure it is none of them causing the issue

If all else fails, I’d copy your theme and any other files that you have added/customised and then add a fresh install of WP. Try this with just the default theme BEFORE adding any custom themes/plugins. If this works, then it is your custom theme that is casuing the issue, if it doesn’t work then I’m not sure!

A friend of mine fixed it. So I don’t know if this would have helped. Thanks for answering nonetheless.
