 * I’m trying to set up my Woocommerce store so that when an order ships, the tracking
   number is automatically saved in the order details. Right now I’m testing an
   integration with ShipStation, which imports the Woo Orders from my store, handles
   the shipping, then sends the tracking number along with other data back to my
   store via API after the shipping label is generated. The store will then automatically
   change the order status to “complete.”
 * How do I set up Woo to store that tracking number associated with the order?
   Do I need the shipment tracking extension? That sounds like it’s designed to
   have the tracking number manually entered into the order details. With my third-
   party shipment integration, will the tracking number automatically be entered?
 * Hope I”m being clear here. Thanks. End goal is to have the tracking number included
   in the Woo Commerce “Completed Order” email to the customer automatically.

 * Hi [@megunticook](https://wordpress.org/support/users/megunticook/),
 * The [Shipment Tracking](https://www.woocommerce.com/products/shipment-tracking/?aff=10486&cid=1131038)
   extension is exactly what you need here as the ShipStation extension will store
   the tracking number in it as described here – [https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/shipstation-for-woocommerce/#section-7](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/shipstation-for-woocommerce/#section-7).
 * I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved now.

 * Thanks. So I notice that ShipStation has its own feature for sending shipment
   confirmation emails. Technically I could just use that, but I’d rather use the
   Woo Commerce “Completed Order” email.
 * You have any pro/con thoughts to that?
