Automatically Archive a Post (i.e. set a specific date or after one month)

    Hello,

    Does anyone know how I can have my posts automatically archive? Is there a way to set a specific date or have them archive after a set amount of time, for example, one month?

    Is there a plugin? Is it even possible? I have looked around, but was unable to find anything. I’m not too good with PHP, but maybe it’s that.

    Perhaps there’s someone out there who can offer the best solution.

    WordPress’s archives are fully automated. As soon as you make a post, it’s in the archive.

    For example, the main WordPress Blog’s archive for this month: https://wordpress.org/news/2021/08/

    Many thanks for your reply. I think I am looking for something different, yes. My topics will be outdated after a few weeks, and they will be pointless being on the website. I am building a news site. I would like them to disappear, but… not completely.

    Is there a way to take a post down without them being put back into draft mode? Perhaps keep them alive, but take them out of the current category page and yes, archive them. They are still alive, but not at the bottom of page 106, haha. Keeping the category page to about 10 or 20 pages is the aim here. I am looking for all posts to be automated after a few weeks.

    I think maybe I used the word archive wrongly, and it’s something else I need but don’t know what it’s called… or even exists. Or maybe I just don’t quite fully understand the whole concept of archiving.

    …or can a set a limit for how many posts there can be in the category pages, and therefore the older ones drop off?

    Hm, maybe something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/unlist-posts/ ?
