I upgraded one site on my Centos 5 box and the upgrade deleted many files from other virtual servers. I have just finished my restore, so I though I’d post this warning. I think that it will have to do with how the upgrade works out the root path of the site of for the FTP script to remove the old code and download and decompress the new code. My FTP server settings worked for previous upgrades, so be warned!!

  • i just did an upgrade manually by downloading latest.zip and following the instructions on the site and that site now works fine.

Same here. It destroyed a trac installation and our SVN repository. At least we had a backup and only lost the last 6 hours

    Same thing happened to me.

I was afraid I was hacked last night. I lost all files my web browser user had write access to.

Fortunately it was obviously focused around the websites and nothing else on the server got touched. I pretty much got my 4 sites up and running again. There are a few wounds left on the site from things I still haven’t fixed but at least my sites are about 90% back to health.
