 * So I’ve got a yahoo hosted Word Press Blog (I know my first issue is the yahoo
   hosting, but I’ve got to stick with it since it’s paid for) and need to upgrade
   a blog.
 * I’ve used the automatic upgrade plugin on other sites–is that going to be my
   best bet to upgrade, or should I do the manual upgrades?
 * I also need to do the first step of upgrading it to 2.3–is it possible to do
   that with the plugin?
 * Thanks!!1

 * that plugin needs and uses a function that may or may not be included in whatever
   version you are starting at.. you dont say where exactly you are starting at,
   so its hard to say.

 * Did this ever get resoloved? I am working with WordPress 2.0.2 on a Yahoo-hosted
   blog and cannot seem to get any theme to work properly. No content up yet, so
   nothing to lose and figured best thing is to start with the latest version of
   wordpress. but try as I may, I can’t seem to figure out how to upgrade. Is there
   an idiot-proof step-by-step guide here somewhere? I haven’t found one, just this
   automatic upgrade plug-in that doesn’t seem to work with my version. ugh.
