• Automatic updates of plugins no longer working.
    Changed permissions to 777 on plugins folder (recursively)
    Re-installed 3.2.1 manually, still no luck

    Any ideas?

  • It could be a server configuration issue. Have you tried contacting your hosts about it?

    thanks esmi,
    yeah contacted the hosts, no issues their end. I suspect something happened when I tried to autoupdate when there was not enough room on my server. Since then I have extended my space on the server and re-installed 3.2.1 manually, but the auto-update still fails. It requests my ftp details and password, does the handshake and then I get a blank screen (with the tool bar down the left side) – just hangs.

    Have you checked the server’s error logs?

    now checked server’s error logs, checked the php installed. It is none of these. Apparently when I click on auto update of a plugin, after being prompted and entering ftp details, wordpress does nothing, just hangs – it does send anything to the server to even generate an error…
