Automatic Updates (and Plug-Ins) not working

    I have attempted numerous times to perform the auto-updates from WordPress (including the plugins sections) and I have never been able to get results – I always have to do all of the upgrades manually.
    I have read and followed all of the tutorials available on the site, and still none of the automatic updates have been successful.
    Now I am having a problem installing things (such as plugins) as well. I cannot get them to install and work properly.
    I would appreciate any assistance with these issues… PLEASE!!!???
