 * I would like to upgrade my wordpress.
 * currently i using WordPress 2.7.1. and i install it using fantastico.
 * My question, can i click the link appear on my dashboard directly to upgrade.?
 * or automatic update only available for manually installation
 * thank you.

 * Yes you can use the WordPress auto upgrade, but always backup all files and your
   database.
    Or do a Fantastico upgrade as you installed it using that software.
   Follow instructions [here](http://www.profitblogger.com/upgrading-wordpress-with-fantastico-and-cpanel/).
   Please notice sometimes this upgrade is not possible. The earlier mentioned website
   will tell you when you can or can’t. If you can’t you could do an automatic WordPress
   upgrade from the WordPress Dashboard: Go to the Tools -> Upgrade menu and follow
   the instructions there. Or you do a a manual one by downloading the latest version
