Automatic update not working

    Hi,

    For some reason I can not do the automatic update to the latest version of wordpress. I click on the auto update button from the admin area and it shows me this. Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.1.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

    then it just stops there. It won’t continue. Please advise on why its doing that or what I’m doing wrong.

    If you’re hosted on a 1&1 server, try adding:

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

    to the root WordPress .htaccess file.

    The weird thing is I have 2 wordpress sites on my virtual hosted server. The 1st one updated fine but the 2nd one is where I’m having the problem of upgrading it. So I don’t think it’s a server issue. Any other ideas you can tell me will be greatly appriciated.
