# Automatic Update

 * I used the automatic update to 3.0.1 and got the notice the site will be in maintenance
   mode until complete. I checked to be sure all plugins were deactivated then clicked
   update again.
    This time it said everything was updated. I checked a few pages
   to be sure they looked the same, they did, then checked updates on the dashboard
   again. I am now getting the message that the site is updating again. Guess this
   means it is stuck someplace. How do I get this fixed? The site is ready for transfer,
   anxious client, bewildered me. It appears the site is updated but I still have
   the maintenance message. comarell.com/Retech/wp

 * Your site loads fine from here but for future reference, if it is stuck in maintenance
   mode on the front end (client facing) simply delete ._maintenance_ from the server..

 * If it’s glitching on the backend, I’d recommend simply installing a fresh copy
   of 3.0.1 when you move it to the client site.
