Support » Plugin: Qtranslate Slug » Automatic slug makes mqtranslate think there are multiple languages available

  • Hi,
First of all, great plugin. I’m having some trouble however.
On the admin screen of a custom post type, sometimes the content for a certain language does not exist, so I leave all fields empty. This plugin however generates an automatic slug, which makes mQtranslate (2.9.1.2) think a version of the post exists in a language in which it doesn’t. This way no message shows up on the front-end informing the visitor that the entry does not exist in this certain language and the post shows up in queries in which it shouldn’t.
Removing the slug and saving works, but only once. When I edit the post again, a slug gets generated again.
I guess the solution is to disable the auto-generation of the slug? How would I go about doing this?
I’m using the most recent version of this plugin (1.1.12).

Hi Max, this is indeed a flaw. I’ll have to have a look and fix the code. The slug will only be generated automatically based on the contents of the title’s input fields.

Thanks for describing the problem so well!
