    I tested “Automatic Periodic Table Import”, it works well but the number
   of tables to update is important and I wish I could trigger the automatic importation
   of tables manually, rather than doing it permanently. Is it conceivable?

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * No, sorry, the Extension does not offer such a flexibility. For manually triggered
   imports, the normal import screen is a much better solution.
