I work with a lot of teachers who have students post and reply. It’s difficult to keep track of where they are posting for grading purposes, but if somehow there could be anchors embedded into their comments, and students could paste a link directly to that comment in the school’s online assignment systems.

Alternatively, even if it’s not automated, would it be possible that students manually put in an archor tag in their comments?

Any help is much appreciated. I searched the forums, and the best I could find is something to put a tag to jump to the comments section.

    Thanks!

  • Hi, @arking. Unless the theme you’re using has code which overrides the default comments list HTML output (which theme developers can and sometimes do), then the comment’s date should be a “clickable link” to that particular comment — in which case, all the student would have to do is right click and copy that link, then paste it wherever they need to.

Since I don’t have a link to the site in question here, or know what theme it’s using, I can’t be sure whether that behavior is currently in place there; but perhaps this will give you a starting point to check out. 🙂

    Hi, @girlieworks.

Thanks, I didn’t notice that, but that would work perfectly.
