• I’m on WordPress 4.6.1, using MailPoet 2.7.5. We’re using a plugin called PrayerEngine for prayer request for our website. I created a new page that has only the shortcode for the prayer requests that have been posted to PrayerEngine. I then created an automatic newsletter that should send out an email to subscribers every time the list of prayer requests changes. After adding a prayer request, the automatic email didn’t send. I enabled the cron job option in MailPoet and set up a cron job that runs every 10 minutes using the easycron.com website recommended in the MailPoet settings page. Still no luck sending. I’m also able to successfully send a test email in MailPoet settings, so I know emails will go out. If I set up a regular newsletter, schedule it, then tell it to not wait and send right away, it will send them. So, I can’t see any reason why the automatic newsletter emails are not sending. Would appreciate any insights anyone can give me on this issue. Would really like to purchase this plugin, but I need to know it actually works before paying for it.
    Thanks,
    Tony

So I performed a few other experiments. I created a new post tag called prayer-requests. When I create a new post and categorize it as prayer-requests, then post it, MailPoet sends out an email. However, if I go back to that post, add an additional paragraph, update the post, MailPoet does not send out an email. My understanding is that it should. Am I wrong?

    Hi @tobevers,

MailPoet doesn’t send duplicated content, so if a post is edited, it won’t be inserted on a new newsletter.

It will only send new posts.
