Automatic newsletter not sent

    Sometimes the automatic newsletter (e.g., daily at 12:00 if new posts are there) is not sent after publishing a new post.

    Before the scheduled time (12:00), preview shows the new post.
    After the time, it is not shown anymore, although no newsletter was sent.

    A cron job is implemented.
    Sometimes I can enforce the sending by creating a copy of the post or the newsletter (with immediate sending).
    Generally, MailPoet is working very good.

    I’m having the same problem. Originally I thought it was an issue with the hosting provider, but I’ve since set up a blog on a different host and I’m experiencing the same problem. A new item is posted, it’s marked as “Sending” but none of the emails get sent.

    Sometimes the automatic newsletter (e.g., daily at 12:00 if new posts are there) is not sent after publishing a new post.

    The newsletter won’t start automatically if you have it set up to send each day at 12:00. It should start only at that specific time. Make sure your Cron Job is set up as expected, you should seek help with your host support, they will be able to confirm your cron job is correctly set up. Sometimes the cron to execute the URL is missing.

    Of course we have a cron job running every two minutes. The log file shows the positive HTML result: “MailPoet’s cron is ready. Simply setup a CRON job on your server (cpanel or other) to trigger this page.”

    The newsletter isn’t even sent if we click on the website (or log in) in order to initiate the sending manually.

    Another WordPress instance with MailPoet also triggered by this cron job is running without any problems.
