Support » Fixing WordPress » Automatic File Generation

  • Hello
Since Yesterday when I check my site in GTMetrix a serious problem is mentioned. Although Gzip is enabled in host, gtmetrix says there are heavy files in https://zabania.ir/wp-content/cache/min/1 and although I delete the whole folder ( folder 1 ) it is automatically generated.
I use the plugin wp-rocket and changing its settings and deactivating it along with other plugins didn’t help.
Could help me out with this problem?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The files in /cache/1/ would be due to wp-rocket, would it not? It’s conceivable that simply deactivating the plugin does not completely stop the plugin and some independent module is still running. We have no way of evaluating what wp-rocket does because it is a commercial plugin. I suggest you ask in their dedicated support channel how to stop cache creation. Be aware that eliminating cache files will likely decrease your site’s performance.

IMO, if wp-rocket is doing its job and improving your site’s performance, I would not be concerned over GTMetrix having grief about heavy files. GTMetrix is a useful tool but its findings should be taken with consideration that it cannot know all things, such as how “heavy” cache files actually improve performance.
