Automatic excerpts

    Hi,

    I was wondering how to make automatic excerpts for long posts. I know a person can manually insert the ‘more’ tag but I’ve got a lot of users and it’s not feasible to explain it to all of them.

    Any advice?

    if you use the_excerpt tag that will pull the excerpt. If there isn’t one, then it pulls the first 200 (I think) words of the post (or until the more tag is found, which ever happens first) and returns that as the excerpt.
