• Hi,

Currently i am using page rules in order to cache HTML pages. However these pages are not automatically purged when i make a change so i see the old content.
Is there a particular reason for this(not purging also cached HTML pages) ?

In addition i have seen the below note in the description of the plugin but i think it would benefit a LOT of people providing also automatic purging also in the setup described above

(Note: By default, Cloudflare does not cache HTML, and a cache purge is not required on updating HTML content such as publishing a new blog entry).

    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Is there a specific timeplan when you are going to implement this or it is unknown ??

    Hi @linusgr,

We have two PRs open to add this functionality. We should have it available in the next release which will be in the next two weeks.

    Thanks,
    John

ok thanks for the update.Very glad to hear this 🙂

Just to clarify something , if i use a page rule of domain.com/* and i will make a change in a page e.g domain.com/test1 will it clear the cache only for this page or it will clear also other pages e.g homepage.

@linusgr this forum is only for Cloudflare WordPress Plugin related supports. PLease check support.cloudflare.com if you need help on Cloudflare products.

If you’re question is about the Automatic Purge Cache future, it’ll clear for the new post url and the main page.

    In example:
    domain.com/post/1
    domain.com

will be purged regardless of the page rule you have set. This is not finalized.

    Thanks.

yes i was speaking about the wordpress plugin and the automatic purge cache feature.

    Last question
Will it clear also pages or only posts?

Currently i have a site containing ONLY pages and not posts

    Thanks in advance

    Sorry I wasn’t clear enough.

When you enable Automatic Full Cache Management feature:

    – Creating
    – Updating

a new post or a page the plugin will purge the following URL’s

    – domain.com
    – domain.com/newposturl
    – domain.com/category/the_category_post_belongs_to

    Thanks

    Excellent !!
    Everything is clear now .:)
Thank you for your time and i will be waiting for the next release.
I believe this will be a GREAT addition to the plugin and in the brand-name of Cloudflare as a whole.

If you have any other questions / suggestions related with the plugin feel free to contact.

    Thanks,

More than two weeks have passed.

When do you think this feature will be available?

I too use Full Page Cache rules in Cloudflare and automatically purging cache is essential because the authors don’t remember all the time to purge cache manually when they post a new article.

    @odeskumair
This feature is live in plugin version 3.1.1 inside Automatic Cache Management toggle.

    @thellimist many thanks.

So, now if that option is turned on Cloudflare will purge Full HTML Cache when new article is published?
