I just set up 2.6, and have the blog by email functioning – except the posts are being held for my review before publishing. I can’t find how to change this. Is that normal? It seems that the benefits of posting by email are defeated if I then have to log in to approve.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.

Anyone have any ideas on this? I’m stumped. Thanks for any help.

I found the answer in the thread at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/170694?replies=3#post-808991

The answer is I needed an editor or admin account with my “secret” email address. I posted this warning, in case you have the same problem.
    ****************************
    Here’s a warning on that:

Do not set up the “Blog by Email” service until after you have established the account epierse mentioned. I had the same problem and found this thread while searching for an answer.

When I set up the account, the system immediately shot a confirmation email to the address, which, containing account and password info, was dutifully published on my blog.

Oops! I just found this post and of course had already set up the service…I’ve tried to ping back by posting by email but so far no luck (although I have now created the new admin account ). Still no luck.

Have you any other suggestions? I am stumped and really would like to set this up. I am a sailor and want to update my blog by ham radio – I can send emails via ham radio when not in Internet territory (which is often).

If you can please respond to me here – simanza …[at]…gmail[dot]com
