Thank you for reaching out. I’d be happy to help you with this.

As I understand, you are not able to see the Tax options settings, as showcased here. Correct?

Can you please share a screenshot of what you see at that screen? That will help us understand the issue. Here’s how to make a screenshot:

Furthermore, kindly take a look at the documentation section, linked here.

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions about this matter, or if we misinterpret your concern in any way. We will be happy to help you further.

Hello sir. Thank you for your reply. Yes, I was expecting tax options as shown in the screenshot. The screenshot below shows what I’m seeing under the tax section:

I went through the documentation link given. Also, I checked whether the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax section section mentioned in the same doc is visible to diagnose issues. It is also not visible. Screenshot below:

    Hi @yathinbabu

Thanks for providing the requested information above, these are helpful!

It is quite odd that you are not seeing the Automated taxes option on your end based on the screenshot above.

Can you please confirm that you’ve enabled or activated the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin after installing it? You can check it via Plugins > Installed Plugins.

If so and still the error persists, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Hello,

The automated taxes option may not appear if the store address is not from Europe, the USA, or Canada. To assist you further, could you please let me know where your store is located?

This information is set under WP-Admin > WooCommerce > Settings > General.

    Hello @chrism245 sir,

The store is in the location: Country – India, State – Karnataka. So no automated taxes option for this location? Please help. Any other option available like rolling back to the previous version and add JetPack like that.

    Hello there,

Even though you rollback the automated taxes won’t work, as this is expected to work just for stores in Europe, Canada, and the USA.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for checking in!

I recommend researching if there are any options for setting up tax settings properly for your location. (Example article: https://devnodes.in/blog/wordpress/woocommerce-how-to-setup-gst-india/)

For our general guide on how to set up Standard tax rates: https://woo.com/document/setting-up-taxes-in-woocommerce/

I also recommend seeking any Woo communities based in India and see if you are able to find how others in the community handle similar situation. (I.e. https://wpmumbai.org/slack/)

I hope gives you some ideas and directions!

    Hello @bkraft,

I understand you are also facing a similar issue.

I suggest that you start a new thread with your case, so that we don’t mix several troubleshooting sessions in one thread. Even if the symptoms are the same, perhaps the underlying problem is different in your case.

    Cheers!
