Automate export for backup

Dear Tobias,

Could you please give me some ideas how to automate the exportation on a regular basis from Tablepress? We have a multi site and it would be very cumbersome to go through the exportations steps one-by-one to make a backup.
If you could just point me to some resources or give me a hint how could it be done it would be great, I was thinking some bash scripts but maybe there are some other solutions, what do you think?
