    Hi,

We noticed after enabling this checkout on two different webshops. That we started getting issues where peoples postal code and city name is switched when they autofill their details. This did not happen before and i’m not sure why it happens with fluid checkout.

Example of a wrong autofill happening now:
    Postal code: London
    City: NW1 3SX

I have no coding experience, but could there be some issues with “placeholders” or whatever the plugin uses and google browser utilizes to detect fields to fill?

    Experience based on version 1.5.7

Thanks for the amazing checkout! 🙂

    Hi @hpb951,

Fluid Checkout does change some settings for the browser autocomplete feature following the HTML documentation.

Most websites do not set the autocomplete attributes to give instructions to the browser on what those fields are, letting the browser do all the work by itself.

It might be that those customers had saved the data in the wrong format on another website or previously to you installing the plugin on your website.

This is almost impossible to detect as the autocomplete data saved on browsers are confidential and there is no way to detect or track when the browser autocomplete feature was used.

    1. I might be able to see if there is anything wrong with the fields autocomplete instructions.
Could you send the URL of the website where I can see this problem happening?

    2. Another option would be to disable the autocomplete instructions from Fluid Checkout.

    Best,
    Diego
