• Hi,

Love the Plugin. I was looking for auto fill address feature for my checkout shipping to avoid shipment errors, so I installed the plugin Autocomplete Google Address then added my google maps api key and the appropriate field id’s for it to target:

    first_name,
    last_name,
    shipping_address_1,
    shipping_state,
    shipping_city,
    shipping_country,
    shipping_postcode

I get “error” displaying in all the above mentioned checkout fields. Do you have a solution or would know of what the conflict would be? or can you recommend any compatible plugins that add this feature that would work with your check out?

    Thank you

Hello @pneupresstires. I’m glad that you love the plugin.

We have not yet made the plugin compatible with Google Address Autocomplete. We have planned to do this as part of the Pro plugin that’s due to be launched in about 2 months’ time.

To be notified when we launch,
    1. Click on the ‘Request a Feature’ link inside the plugin settings.
    2. In the feedback forum that loads (you will be auto-logged in), search for ‘google maps api autocomplete’ post and add your vote.

I understand, but do you think you can send me some code or something that will make this work “temp” until you get the pro version completed. I am a $buyer when the time comes due to the great design you created, and the way it helped make more sales!

The google autocomplete is a big deal you need to have this done sooner than later -> it speeds up the check out process! Also avoids returns when shipping errors occur, I am now selling in USA as well…need that to absolutely have this on site…

What can you do for me in the meantime to help my case. Im sure theres something we can implement ?

    Thank you Amrit 🙂

I’ll definitely discuss with my developer if there’s a possibility of a temporary workaround and update you. I hope we can. If not, I’ll up the priority for this in the Pro plugin’s planned release cycle.

    Hi Amrit,

    1. Wax wondering if you had a chance to get the autifill working …and send some code for that..? thank you

    This is more important
    2. I have a very important request, i am using the plugin “XT Points Rewards” and I give Points on customers Birthday, the plugin automatically adds this field for me on registration page, my account profile, and check out…
THE PROBLEM–> I have just realized that if customer would like to check out with out signing in, nor creating account…they cannot anymore because your checkout is blocking the other plugin most probably from displaying this new checkout field “BIRTHDAY” and is giving message that they cannot proceed with out entering birthday…how ever there is no birthday field on the checkout!!!! THis is not good and going to hurt my sales…please check out my site as “guest” to undertand..

what can i do here as quick as possible to solve the new Birthday check out feild Issue ?

THnak you for quick response like always 🙂

    Hello 🙂

    1. I had my developer look into it and was told that it’s not something we can provide temporarily. But as mentioned before, Google Address Autocomplete has been planned to be part of v1 of the Pro plugin.

    2. I’m very sorry that you’re facing this issue. Yes, we haven’t written any compatibility fixes for the ‘XT Points Rewards’ plugin yet. Can you send a bug report from within the plugin settings? We’ll take a look and get back to you soon. Also, kindly attach screenshots that will help us understand the issue better.

    Thanks.

I might have to remove this plugin and purchase one that allows me to do what I need… PLEASE provide “how to” or “snippet” for me that makes the “Birthdate” field from the other plug in “SHOW”…

The Reason: We are talking about “adding a checkout field” this is a check out Plug in…the problem does not lie with the plugin XTPoint that i am using…it lies in the fact that your checkout plug in is way too constrictive… you are not leaving any room for the most basic of basic affairs..adding a check out field ..?
Offering a points reward is not only good BUT Recommended even!

….but I see the person who asked for something about the PHONE Number field and you SENT HIM A SNIPPET BY EMAIL WHERE NO ONE CAN ACCESS THIS….would be nice to see!!… you helped him! …I am asking for bare basic affairs that should not be blocked or require special skills to make happen.

Thank you, hope we can make this happen. PLease also take 1 min to look at my site to avoid sending screen shot…there is no screen shot to take…the problem cannot be displayed with a screen shot. Its a functional issue.

I’m sorry, @pneupresstires, that the plugin doesn’t fully meet your requirements yet. It’s less than 2 months old, and we are pushing hard to release the most important features as soon as possible.

That being said, we want to resolve the issue and make it usable for you. I never said the problem lies with the XT Points Rewards plugin but only that we need to fix things from our end to make it compatible.

Please allow us some time to look into it. Our dev team is closed for the week. They’ll look into this first thing Monday morning. I’ll update you as soon as it’s ready. I suggest you remove the LCW plugin from the live site (if it’s currently getting traffic) and install it in a staging site for us to troubleshoot.

I also noticed that there are lots of conflicts with the theme’s styles. We will fix this as well. As requested earlier, please send us a bug report using the link inside the plugin settings. It will send us more information about the WP environment.

Despite our best efforts, if you feel a different checkout plugin would better suit your needs, I would suggest you to not hesitate to go ahead with it. Nothing is more important for me than your success.

I really appreciate your patience and understanding.

I will wait for you to contact me. You are right. It is only 2 months old.

Thank you for response Amrit 🙂

You reply quickly and I appreciate that. Faster than plugin owners that have paid support!
