[resolved] autocomplete from database and submit within post (2 posts)

There are two things I need from a form maker before I put any money into it.

First, I need to be able to pull info from a database while filling it out, and have it auto complete for the user entering data. Any entries not in that database are not accepted. Additionally once submitted, those database options would be displayed with extra information not seen in the form itself. For example, the person making the form is creating an instruction list. Person enters the data, and once submitted, that data is revealed along with the instruction info for each list item.

Secondly, I need to be able to submit the form to a specific area rather than an email. I see the forms can be input with a shortcode, I am wondering if I can get the output displayed similarly (and with my own style). So form 1 can be in one page, and I can place the [submitform id=1] shortcode anywhere I want so the results are posted accordingly.

If these are available options on this plugin (premium or otherwise), let me know and I would be more than happy to go pro on this one.

Auto-complete isn't built into Formidable Pro. It would be possible to validate a field based on data from a different database table, but this also isn't built in and would require custom code. As for displaying extra instructions with the selections that were made. This feature can be accomplished with the use of a custom display, which is the tool we use to display and customize data submitted in the form.

Again, to display your form data with your own style/format, you would need to use a Custom Display. Here is more information on custom displays: http://formidablepro.com/knowledgebase/display-your-form-data/

If you have other questions, I would encourage you to ask them in the help desk found on http://formidablepro.com as inquiries there will get responded to more quickly.
