# Auto upgrade problem

 * Attempting to upgrade to 2.7.1 and the ‘Upgrade Automatically’ button doesn’t
   link to a requestor for my ftp info. It links to the 2.7.1 zip file so clicking
   it results in downloading the file only (essentially making it a duplicate of
   the ‘download 2.7.1’ button). Is this a permissions issue? I previously used 
   auto upgrade to upgrade from the beta.

 * I was stuck at the downloading portion. After some research I found I had to 
   [edit my .htaccess file](http://bassmadrigal.com/blog/2009/02/11/wordpress-271-upgrade-failed/).

 * Problem was actually caused by firefox. No idea why. Rectified by using alternate
   browser.
