Auto update of wp.com site when posting to local

  • Hi folks 🙂

I have two sites that are basically identical, one on WordPress.com and the other hosted on my own site. My question is this: When I post to the one I host, is it possible for the wp.com site to be auto updated at the same time with the new post?

I have followers on my wp.com site that I do not wish to lose, for that reason I am very hesitant on the idea of abandoning or deleting that site.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated,

    Steve

You could pull the RSS feed from your self-hosted site onto your wordpress.com site but that’s about all you can do.

I guess it is that or post twice then 🙁

If I deleted the site on WordPress, would that affect the operation of Jetpack on my self hosted site?

No. All you need is an account on wordpress.com – not a wordpress.com site.
