• I am looking for a plugin or guidance on how I can auto update an image on a web site. The long way would be to stream video to a webpage.
This is way to much and used a lot of band width. I would like to take snap shots from a vid cam about 1 per hour. Then upload the picture to the directory of an existing image and over write that image. The upload could be done with something like FileZilla.
Hopefully I won’t have to code this from scratch.

    I’m open for any suggestions.

  • I Googled around and found Enable Media Replace (https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-media-replace/) which states:

This plugin allows you to replace a file in your media library by uploading a new file in its place. No more deleting, renaming and re-uploading files!

I’ve never used the plugin, but it’s been downloaded 357,455 times, updated today, compatible with WordPress 4.1, and has a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating.

    Hope this helps!
