Auto Update after file name change

  • Hi All,

Does WordPress have a function which would allow me to change the name of a file and for it to auto change any link or reference to that image with the new file name?

    Thanks

  • Hi All,

Is the auto update something that wrodpress can offer? It would save me a great deal of time if when I change and image name the code auto updates to reflect the new name.

I am still stuck on this.

I need to change the file name for a number of images but don’t want to have to go through the code of each page manually searching for where the image has been linked to.

I know in Dreamweaver that it can auto change the code where it detects an image name has changed. can WordPress do the same?

I reseal that I am going on a bit to get some help but it really would be appreciated.

    Regards
