Hi,
What do you see when you go to https://gtranslate.io/detect-browser-language
Thanks! π
Hi edo888,
Thank you so much for your fast response.
When I load your “auto detect browser language link”, by using a new browser and VPN connected to Germany, it keeps showing your default page where I see “English-US defaults” π
Is there another way to test differently and be sure the browser is linked to a country language or to a VPN ?
Please let me know.
Thanks π !

Hi,
It has nothing to do with geo-location. It checks your browser language. So if you see English as your browser language here: https://gtranslate.io/detect-browser-language then it is OK to see English.
You can change your browser language and then check again, make sure to clear cookies or use incognito browser window to test.
Thanks! π
Got it.
Thanks for the explanation.
So you mean, anyone who lives in Germany for example, normally has his browser set to german language, so it will detect and translate my website.
Cool, will test and let you know asap.

Correct, you are welcome!
Hi edo888,
Ok, I tested now on a fresh downloaded Opera browser, set preferred language only french this time, cleared all data, and indeed my site now auto translated to french language in this browser.
Sometimes the translations are not 100% accurate though, but I’m very happy.
This plugin is excellent actually !
Thank you so much for your support.
Best Regards,
John
